Shop at more than 600 GoodShop.com merchants including Amazon, Best Buy, Toys R Us and others, and a percentage of each purchase will go to your cause. GoodDining.com will donate a percentage of your restaurant/food vendor purchases to UCP as well! You sign up online (it’s quick and easy), it’s completely free (to you and UCP), and you can search for the restaurants in your area – or where you will be going – and the days/times your purchases will yield donations for your selected charity (UCP of NCSNJ, of course!). Some even include take-out and delivery orders.
Did you know you have a choice about your electricity supplier? Enrolling with Viridian is safe and easy. The local utility will continue to send the bills and deliver the electricity to your home or office. The only difference you will see is Viridian’s name and low rate listed on the bill. UCP is now offering our families and friends the opportunity to “Save Green by Going Green” at no cost to you and with no contracts to sign. You can donate your American Express membership reward points through the GivingExpress® Program. Click on the icon to the right.
Avoid the hassle of repairing, advertising selling or junking your used car. Donate your used car, truck, van, boat with a trailer or recreational vehicle to help people with disabilities. Free towing is from anywhere in the U.S. whether or not the vehicle is running. This qualifies for an IRS tax deduction. Click on the car key to the right and select "New Jersey" as the local affiliate or call 1-877-827-2271.
United Cerebral Palsy has partnered with BCS Recycling Specialists to implement the "Recycle for UCP" fundraising program. This free program enables UCP and its affiliates to earn money for collecting Electronic Waste (E-Waste) in UCP logo'd collection boxes. E-Waste items including inkjet cartridges, cell phones, PDAs, iPods, digital cameras and laptops are collected and BCS pays up to $2.50/item and $10 for laptops (no broken screens, please.) There are 3 ways to donate: give your unwanted items to your program coordinator, drop them off at our Chester office or call us on 908.879.2243 for a collection box for your office, school or neighborhood.
Employer matching gift programs are an easy way to increase the impact of your donation. Many employers encourage their employees to support non-profit organizations by offering to match employee donations. Your employer might be one of them. These matches are often dollar for dollar, which doubles your charitable donation power. Ask your employer if they participate, or would like to participate in a Matching Gift Program.
